WASHINGTON, D.C. – Troutman Pepper Locke advised Burke & Herbert in connection with its definitive merger agreement with LINKBANCORP, Inc. (LINK), the parent company of LINKBANK. Under the agreement, Burke & Herbert will acquire LINK in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $354.2 million. For more information, see the press release.
The merger will expand Burke & Herbert’s presence into Pennsylvania and significantly enhance the company’s existing footprint, resulting in more than 100 locations across Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The combined institution will create a bank holding company with pro forma total assets of approximately $11 billion and pro forma total deposits of approximately $9.1 billion.

The merger of CBS and TAG will create a combined company with approximately $3.0 billion in assets, serving Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
